Do you go to Herald Square - I saw a lot of movies there in the 50's & 60's.

So thanks to the guys in order that I saw the posts to Tim, Dan, Paul,
Jeff, Jack, Ken, John and Steve !
As to what I was doing in Hoboken... you may regret wondering ...
about once a month or sometimes more I go out to the Pavonia Newport area
of Jersey City to shop .. There is
a Target there, the tax on no food is less than NY, it is actually a
cheaper trip for me on the PATH train than
going anyhwere in NYC. There is also a great Salvation ARmy Thrift ...
all walking distance from the
Pavornia Newport stop on the PATH...
However .... there are two PATH trains.. and I got on the wrong one. I
used to go to HOboken to get a train
to go upstate to a friends house... this time I just wasn't noticing that
I got on the HOboken train and not
the JERsey CIty one.
That was earlier in the afternoon... Hoboken and JErsey City are right
next to each other and there is a
thing called the light rail that goes from that station to the big
shopping mall near where my stores are
9I could have stayed underground and just gotten on another PATH but it
was a nice day sooooo..
I hopped on the light rail... THEN as I was shooting the Manhattan skyline
from the elevated train I noticed a
people walking along the river and damned if they weren't following a real
path that went between the two locations.
After I shopped I found the walkway and went back to Hoboken to come back
into NY . By now it is golden light time.
and, as you see, it was golden. The station is old and very beautiful
inside and part of the outside. It is also a terminal
for a ferry that goes across to the financial district but it is a bit
beyond my budget.
and thats, as Paul Harvey would have said... "the rest of the story"
