Apparently you're not sufficiently familiar with Pentax DSLRs.

While the K10D/K20D do, indeed, have a twist-lock catch on the door,
that isn't true of all models.  In particular it is not true of the
newer K-7 (and K-5), which are the cameras actually being discussed;
on those bodies all you need to do to open the card door is simply
slide the door slightly to unlock it, whereupon it can swing open.

(FWIW, the older *ist-D only had a spring catch, too - nowhere near
as secure as the K10D.  But that body wasn't weather-sealed, either)
