I use Paul C. Buff CyberSync and they work fine with the K20D up to
1/180th sec. My old cheap Chinese (eBay special) radio triggers worked
fine with it too. They're just not very durable.
You should be able to get up to 1/180 sec with the K20D and *any* brand
of radio slave. I know Pentax doesn't fire the hot-shoe when the shutter
speed is set faster than sync. There may be other settings that keep the
hot-shoe from firing at slower speeds. I had trouble with shutter speeds
slower than sync not firing the flash until I set the camera to use
slow-sync.
I can't explain why it did that, I just know that I experienced it. I
didn't find any clues in the manual.
Are you trying to use the trigger as a remote trigger for the camera
shutter or using it to trigger a remote flash? When I Googled Aputure
brand I found this on Amazon that indicates it can do either:

I'm pretty sure it's just the same unit as the Canon Digital Rebels. I
think they use the same size remote cable release plug as Pentax uses.
If you're mounting the transmitter on the camera's hot-shoe and using
the receiver to fire a remote flash, I wonder if some setting on your
camera is what is keeping the hot-shoe from firing at over 1/60th of a
second. If you've got something like a Vivitar 285HV you can test by
mounting it directly on the hot shoe to see whether it fires at over
1/60th. The 285HV trigger voltage should be safe with the K20D's hot shoe.

Mine (Aputure brand) synchs only at (and below) 1/60th of a second.
The Company web site was saying that they support Pentax (as well as
Canon on the same unit) up to a synch speed of 1/250th.
Pocket Wizards is rather too expensive here.
Any others?

Update:
A company ?representative has just sent me an email saying that they
do not support Pentax cameras.
Also, the (plain wrong) statements of support on their web site will
soon be removed.
He says they only support C* and N* cameras.
Could you please name a radio trigger who "does" support K20D and K5?
I use Pocket Wizards, and I've heard that most others do work with Pentax.
What sort of support are you looking for?
