Igor, I am not talking about the declared power rating of the batteries. I am talking about the actual experience in terms of my regular shooting and the moment when I had to replace the battery. I never _measure_ these things. I just use my gear and (being immodest here) being pretty observant person, I notice things such as when I have to replace my camera batteries.

I bought the one by Zekos which is labeled to have much higher capacity
(2800 mAh) than the OEM from Pentax:

It had been sold only by Buydig and Amazon, and doesn't seem to be
available anymore.
All other 3rd-party batteries that I've seen do not have this high
capacity. To be fair, - I haven't yet tried to measure/compare its true
capacity. I haven't had any problem over 1 year period since I bought
it. (I paid ~$17 for it.)

The battery that Buydig sells now is rated at 2100 mAh, and costs $14.50:

The original Pentax battery is rated at 1860 mAh and costs $40-45.

Is anyone using third party batteries in their K-7/K-5? The prices are
"considerably* lower than the Pentax branded ones but I don't want to
blow up my new camera.
