The crew and starting line personnel are  used to parts flying off. Plus 
they've only had a split second to react.  This is obviously at the hit of the 
throttle. The blower has just landed on the hood and the belt is dangling from 
it. Some vapor can be seen coming from the intake manifold as well. Usually 
when the supercharger comes  off, fire follows.
