And, actually, I can agree with that.  If you are using a
pro-lab, they can tell you what ISO to use to get the best
results with their processing.  They should be familiar with
your exposures and, as long as you are consistent in using your
camera, they know which way you should adjust to make the best
prints or slides.

My original comment was based upon someone outside the chain
telling you what ISO you should use.
