I guess about 90% of my gear came off ebay and I have always been 
satisfied with my purchases or the seller made it right.  Ebay is no 
different than the big camera store in any big city.  Since you are 
dealing with used equipment you have to use common sense.  Read the 
descriptions carefully five times and then read them again.  Consider 
where the buyer is coming from.  Check with KEH or B&H for retail 
prices and then set your limit.  When you have made a selection wait 
till the last 30 seconds of the auction and bid your maximum.  I got 
one a few days ago with 2 seconds left but that is another topic.  I 
don't know of any other source where you have a better selection to 
choose from on a daily basis.  It's just one big international garage 
sale.
