I'd have to vote for the V500 or its successor. Although we have a
couple Epson all in ones (a WF2530 and WF2540) which both do a decent
job when all I need is a quick and dirty scan. For serious scanning
I'll fire up the V500.

Probably the least expensive, that produces reasonable, (OK, you define
reasonable but it seems so too me), output, is currently the Epson

slightly higher specifications. Figure he'll pay less than $150. + Tax
and or Shipping so the damned thing is disposable once it's out of
warranty. Which is pretty much the way you have to view anything these
days.

Hi All!
I remember seeing some discussion about photoscanners on the list not
too long ago, and so I thought some people wouldn't mind sharing their
thoughts again.
My brother is considering buying one and asked me for my advise.

printed photos that will be scanned.
Any suggestions as to what features/characteristics to look for and what
to avoid?
Any particular models?
One of the models that he is considering is "Epson Perfection V37".
Any comments about it?
Thank you!
Igor
