Here's a link to the Sandisk Recovery software. They talk about it
working on Sandisk cards so don't know how it fares with others. Might
be worth a shot though.

of the RAW files ( *.ORF ) that are on there.
Does anyone have experience with any sort of recovery utility (he's not really
concerned with the cost at this point) that could analyze the card contents and
make any sense of the RAW files that are lost on there somewhere?
