Definitely better. The rust detail now stands out. The B/W version is more subdued.

I had a go at cloning out the branch but the right hand side became
very bland and I couldn't get a crop I liked.

Next I tried adding a bit more light to the window and shears and
toning down the branch via a levels adjustment along the lines Paul
suggested.
