It's interesting to hear you say this.  As a guy who works in a venue, I've
seen for years the haphazard implementation of security measures.  I
remember walking right through the magnetometers at the Olympics with my
mag-light, keys, change, more keys, leatherman, and radio.... the day before
the bombing in the park.  The day after, my fillings set it off.  A week
later, back to the pre-bomb settings.
We no longer admit any backpacks and have been searching all other bags
since the 11th.  I KNOW my Micro-Trekker backpack is smaller than some
women's purses.
Cameras (any type) are allowed at most of our events including Falcon's
games but certain events will restrict them to P&S types or no still cameras
at all...
