[discussing TiltAll] Last time I tried to disassemble it trying to figure out how one of the legs could be used as a monopod -- according to rumors, I somewhat damaged the gasket, or whatever it's called, - inside the central column mount. It's working fine, but that gasket can probably fall apart at any moment.

somewhere that blog talks of using stickum velcro of just the right thickness; i need to do this repair myself on one of my two TiltAlls … then i need to sell them along with some beefy Manfrottos and some ball heads, as i seem to have completed the traditional cycle of "buy several bargain tripods before you get the one you'll like"
