One other thing. Can Eric verify his subscription at the web page, http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
Login using the form at the very bottom of the page where it says "or change your subscription options". And if so he should enable the "Receive acknowledgement mail when you send mail to the list?" option. If the server successfully receives a post it will send back an ack email.
