I can't agree. In my experience, even on primes, there's a visible difference between different brands of MC. (That's why I sold my Vivitar 24/2 and bought a Pentax-A 24/2.8 instead. Even my Cosina 28/2 was better than taht Vivitar.) I don't think that Vivitar's MC could be worse than a single coating...
