yeah that's the utility appeal of this lens; a 12mm extension tube on the DA 15 is an alternative, but it's much less flexible (and the Kenko is the only tube i know that would work without an aperture ring)
i was just trying to head off the expectation that the marketing materials seem to stoke up — doing 1:1 macros with implausible depth of field
