I’m right where you are. With both the K-2 and K-3, 25600 seems to be the 
practical limit. The K-1 shows a slight advantage, probably due to sensor size. 
When shooting birds or sports I try to keep it at 6400 or less, but go with 
what nature gives me. Shooting cars for publication I go for 400 or less when 
using the tripod. Handheld, I go to 1600 if necessary.
