I haven't used it, but it appears to be more of a Gimp
replacement/complement for Linex. I'm not even sure it runs under
Windows of Mac. So if you run either of those two OSs, (we have to find
a better way too write that), you're probably out of luck with
darktable. The screen shots look really good though. I've been using
DxO optics Pro, aside from it's default renderings being way too dark,
once you get used to it's interface it's not bad. Major advantage is
it's not a subscription, you can buy it out right, major disadvantage,
from a Pentax users point of view, it doesn't support earlier cameras
such as the *ist series, not even when converted to DNG, (I don't know
which camera support starts with, I think the K10D), so I have to
maintain an earlier RAW converter to handle those files. It works very
well with K20D and K-5II files.
