Have you tried RawTherapee? https://rawtherapee.com/ It should work on Windows, OSX and Linux, and I find it very useful and feature-full. It does have file-management capabilities (although not quite a "database function"). (I am using Linux and thus have only compared it to `darktable`, thus my "view" is quite limited...)
