It's a beautiful area for cycle touring. I rode up to Shaftesbury a few years 
ago, but by the main road, not Gold Hill. Shaftesbury's a nice town.

I'm not around when you're over here - in fact, I plan to be cycling to a 
wedding in Hampshire, touring the area for a couple of days, then cycling to 
Brighton through the S Downs before taking the train home from Brighton. 
Weather permitting.
