For non-A lenses, I think there is something in the menu you have to enable in order to use them at all.

If it will do auto-stopdown (unlike screwmount Pentax lenses), pressing the green button will stop it down and set the shutter speed.

It's a very basic K-mount - I'm guessing a T-mount with a K adapter.

Mounted easily on the K-1, but showing "F--" so I guess I'm going to actually have to RTFM to figure out how to tell the camera what I want it to do.

With a quick perusal I didn't see anything about U1, U2, U3 ..., but I think I did find how you set the shutter speed when using a non-A lens

More homework I guess.
