Dear Alexander, I sympathize with your feeling towards Pentax and their speed of Ltd. lens production. I keep waiting for to see what they will do to the ZX-5n or if a Ltd. body will come out. I too have thought about jumping ship, but have decided to stay the course.
When you compare Pentax with Voigtlander and the number of bodies and lenses they have produced since V's introduction in '99 (I think), Pentax seems to pale. Maybe Voigtlander is a bad comparison, since they have had to introduce an entire range of lenses and bodies, but they do seem to come out with a new lens and body every couple of months. Pentax just seems to rehash the ZX/MZ line into various permutations (with the MZ-S being the exception) and introduce various amateur level zooms. Maybe Pentax has it's hands full producing two medium format camera systems along with the 35mm line, P & S cameras, digital line and binoculars as well. When you stand back and look at the scope of their products, it's pretty impressive. Still, we in the 35mm line do seem to wait forever sometimes for new high quality products. By the way, if you still decide to sell your stuff, put me down for the 31mm. Jim - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
