I had a S1 70-210/3.5. I sold because I liked my SMCA 70-210/4 better. The Vivitar is quite sharp, maybe sharper wide open. But it's color rendition didn't seem to match my other lenses, which are mostly Pentax. But if you do most or all of your shooting with Vivitar's this won't be a problem for you.
