Hi Paul,

While I probably wouldn't use either of these close-up lenses for 
portraits, I can see the appeal of having one handy in a shirt pocket. I 
like shooting macros, but I don't always want to go out with my macro 
lens. My theory is, if I find one that will do in a pinch, I won't have 
to lug my macro around "just in case"—saving it for when I'm going out 
specifically to shoot small things.

The Pentax, btw, is a dog compared to the Nikon. Probably the advantage 
of a two-element lens over a single.
