Hi, Robert, I have no interest in digital photography right now, nor can I see myself taking the plunge anytime soon. I must admit that if the costs come down, and Pentax or someone else comes out with a k-mount body, I'd consider it.
But, I do love film, and I'm still (after 30 years) learning what I can and can't do with it. I'd like to get a dark room going, and learn what I can and can't do with that. I've got a long way to go before I've completely explored b&w film, let alone what digital can do. So, even if I do eventually go digital someday, I can't see it replacing film for me, only supplementing it. I must admit that I do enjoy the digital meanderings of this list, along with all the wailing and gnashing of teeth regarding Pentax' foot-dragging on their DSLR. But for me, it's just interesting reading at this point. As I've said on this list before, I think film has a long life ahead of it yet, if somewhat diminished due to digital inroads. Let me congratulate you on starting a great thread. It's fun to see all of us "quiet" (of late) non-digitalians suddenly rearing our heads and roaring! regards, frank Robert Soames Wetmore wrote: > Hello- > > Just out of curiosity, is there anyone else on this list who has absolutely > zero interest in digital cameras (except perhaps as a curiosity), has no > intention of ever converting from film, etc., etc.? > -- "The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds.
