I'm interested in less politics.  I don't subscribe to the "must be free as in ______  at all times for the following reasons....  X, Y, Z...."

I'm interested in finding out who's doing work locally, or finding those who would like to be doing so.  Ubuntu and Debian for instance have the fight because Ubuntu hired away many of the Debian developers.  Debian as a result is getting bogged down somewhat and having more social issues (as well as Ubuntu), not to mention the Utnubu project (take from Debian, then put back into Debian?).

I also happen to prefer RPM-base among other things.  Lots of long stories, but still interested in finding out who can/wants to roll their own.

Why not contribute to one of the already blossoming distros that are not too big yet, like Ubuntu?
