Hi,

to force the autorouter to use only straight lines, set the DRC for traces on the top layer without any bend.

I don't know of any automatic way to do this.

I would lay it out as a double-sided board, placing as much routing as possible on the bottom site, then making sure any tracks remaining on the top side are straight, and suitably located so that they can be replaced by jumpers.
