120 layers is a pretty intense design,  On one occasion we have used all 30 
signal layers and all of the planes in Protel.  It was a fairly large design 
and the only one I have ever seen.  The board thickness was over .250 inch 
thick.  Ask yourself...do you really need 120 layers?   Protel's resolution 
close enough to user for IC layout.  The ONLY fault and I have with is the 
router.  There are 3rd party tools including Spectra which will place Protel 
next to expedition for schematic and pcb layout.  You might find the simulation 
tools better in Expedition.   That is where the real advantage comes
