You don't have to extract the libs first. Just use the original source
libraries, and hit recompile.  It will automatically update the integrated
libs for you, no messing around.  Integrated libs are very useful in group
situations, and you don't have to use them.

Fair enough, but the search is very good and quick these days (SP4)

Or you could just place a compile mask over the whole sim schematic.  This
would effectively blank off that schematic so just your real stuff
transfers.  Double click, and disable to run a sim again.
