If you are not involved with the company anymore then your forceful
opinions may be dated. Maybe you have 1999, 2000, 01, 02 opinions. Maybe
others of us have 04, 05 and 2006 opinions (I know that there are some here
that have little respect for opinions seen to be supportive of Altium but
so be it ...)

Presenting your opinions so strongly when there is evidence elsewhere that
they may not be quite on the money does rankle with some I guess - makes
you an easy target.

I do agree with your sentiment that the sales plan for the AD6 release was
fast and has possibly caused more consternation than sales.

Another thing that really p*sses me off is the statement that "such and
such has not been tested enough" and then followed up with "I wont beta
test as I am not paid to do so" - this stinks of a "user" (someone happy to
abuse the efforts of others). many of us spend a lot of time being
involved in beta testing for these and other products because we think this
is the most cost effective way to get the software we use better (the $$
involved in changing platforms are significant). You benefit from our
goodwill and effort and then you stick the boot in. People that denigrate
the beta testers, by association maybe, but don't themselves get involved
are selfish and are probably so uninformed about the process and the
efforts of the developers and the company that their opinions should be
rated down. There may well be heaps of bugs left after the testing process
but you are at risk of looking foolish in making hard statements about the
process if you don't inform yourself.

Are you omnipotent? How do you know something is a waste of your
time. Such fixed opinions are dangerous in a fast moving technology world
- reminds me of contractors that spend too long doing everything themselves
on small one-person projects and start believing their own
b*llsh*t. Crossed paths with a guy once who suffered from this - his name
was Jesus (true story). Hopelessly behind the times but he couldn't see it.
