Don't quote me on that. As I indicated, that is what I believe the deal was in 
the message that was left over the holidays. I was so livid at the overall 
practice (rush and over the holidays) that I didn't bother to remember the 
details. I do recall to the best of my memory that it was a savings of $400 - 
$500 per seat.
        Then again Altium knows that we have 8 seats of AD2004 (+3 more still 
at P99SE), so could that reflect a volume discount which could be considered 
just normal and reasonable business practice without any shady pricing 
structures/deals?  I would believe that most people discussing this thread have 
less than 3 seats.

And therein lies the problem with this sales model.  Customers do 
communicate with each other and the market will realize who was offered 
what and it will eventually lead to a lack of goodwill for the company. 
 Unfortunately, the bean counters do not have a button labeled 
"goodwill" on their calculators, so they are unable to grasp this concept.

It will be very interesting to know what prices others were offered.
