Hello,

I have a question concerning creating a component, that's not really mounted on
the pcb, but anyhow this component should appear in the design.

Sounds strange, but let me explain: I would like to have a component called
e.g. 'place_pcb_label_here' which is placed on the pcb to show the people in
the fab, where to stick the label.

Sometimes they stick the label somewhere onto the pcb and in the worst case,
the label covers important testpoints.

I thought about reserving a mechanical layer for this information and create a
component that consists of one rectangular in this reserved layer only.

But when I dropped this new component onto a pcb, protel 99se mirrored this
component and put it on the bottom layer. At the moment, I have to move each
label manually onto the top layer.

Has anyone an idea, how to tell protel, that this 'not-existing' component
should be placed on top, or at least shouldn't be place on bottom...?

regards
Christian Schulz
