Christian,

this is a new one for me: I have not seen this behaviour although I
use this trick quite often (for heatsinks, knobs, logos, placeholders etc).
Try to export the offending component to a spreadsheet, perhaps that
will shed some light on the situation; I at a loss for both causes
and solutions right now.

On my system components (both 'regular' and 'virtual') only mirror
when I press the L key while placing them, or the X or Y key (but
these generate a popup window for confirmation).

If you wish, I can send you a small demo lib with four of my virtual
components directly.
