Michael,
Well we seem to have you straightened out for now, that is what really
counts. Sometimes a definitive cause can never really be found and you must
just put it down to the alignment of the stars and a cosmic will. 8^>

Hmmm, Protel dimensions hey? Well I never use them just because I think
they are very ugly, unyielding and difficult to control what they are really
snapping to. I usually do all of my dimensioning in ACAD, explode them and then
import them back into Protel.

Hi Brad,
Somehow I produced an .ddb and followed your advice.
The result:

After deleting all dimensions in the mechanical2 layer, the problem didn't
occur anymore.
If I placed new dimensions at the same places, the problem didn't occur
either.

I'm not sure what to learn from that and how to go on with my designs in
Protel 99SE.
But, Brad, I'm very glad having found such a good adviser. Thank you very
much for your help.

Sincerely,
Michael Senghaas
