Helmet ~ Local "culture" is like a species or a language or a market area: largely defined by limits on transportation.
Since culture travels on the internet (literature, movies, news, fashion, music) much faster than people can travel/migrate/mix by conventional means, certain shared values are spreading far more rapidly among the world population than one might have predicted a generation ago.
