line and a footer added with unsubscribe instructions and FAQ pointer.

I am not aware of a phrasing exactly like this but the substance of it appears
to paraphrase Peirce's pragmatic maxim, stated in multiple forms during his
lifetime and paraphrased endlessly by others.
