Jeff, I believe that Peirce's insights in logic, semeiotic, diagrammatic reasoning and their applications to linguistics and psychology are extremely relevant for the 21st century. I summarized those contributions in http://jfsowa.com/pubs/csp21st.pdf . And I would add more to that article along the lines of http://jfsowa.com/pubs/ppe.pdf . Peirce also had some insights about cosmology that were along the lines that Einstein and others explored from 1905 to 1930. But physics and astronomy have progressed so far in the past century that I would not consider any of his comments on those topics more than interesting suggestions. John
