the article on BUSINESS WEEK only shows Neumark changing his views on
living wage ordinances. He sees them as causing minimal job losses, more
than compensated by increased incomes for the beneficiaries (to paraphrase
BW).
BTW, erstwhile pen-pal Bob Pollin got his picture on the (Santa Monica
supplement of) the Los Angeles TIMES, because he produced a report
generally endorsing the proposed living wage ordinance there (and opposing
the one proposed by the employers).
