I had the impression that Marx worked on Capital to help identify what was wrong with capitalism and give people the tools to change the economy. Marx identified where the surplus value comes from that allows economic growth. That leaves the people that which to improve the economy with the task of increasing the proportion of surplus value that remains in the control of workers. Housing differs little from manufacturing in Marx's economic model because the commodity than becomes occupancy for a period of time with the land and building becoming the capital asset. -- Ron
