I suppose that is why I am for the overthrow of Maduro and Hugo Chavez before him. http://louisproyect.org/2014/03/14/poverty-reduction-in-venezuela/ http://louisproyect.org/2014/03/09/honduras-venezuela-and-crime-the-double-standard/ http://louisproyect.org/2014/02/24/james-bloodworth-and-the-real-nightmare-threatening-venezuela/ And why I wrote all those articles calling for the overthrow of Milosevic: http://www.swans.com/library/art12/lproy35.html And why Michael Berube singled me out for attack in his "decent left" book. Here's the deal. I got off at the last station when Putin turned Chechnya into a wasteland. Not only am I opposed to his kind of blood-letting, I am opposed to formulaic thinking. Most of the left is into formulas, like "if a = b, then c". Instead of looking at class relations in Ukraine and the country's history, instead it fixates on something Nuland or Obama said. Who needs a brain if that is your approach? You can decide on political questions using a computer program. I was pretty good as a computer programmer but don't find those skills very useful in conducting a class analysis. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
