I don't know if Bill read my article or just the lead paragraphs but if you do read it, you will note that a couple of billionaires controlled 90 seats in the Party of Regions just by putting up the funds. Ukraine is an oligarchy after the fashion of Mexico that is ruled "democratically" by the PRI. In terms of the "coup" in Ukraine, Yanukovych was not removed because of Right Sector violence but because the same billionaires who bought shares in his party like common stock on the NYSE decided that they risked losing everything if he continued his repressive course. As my article pointed out: Neef cites Vadim Karasev, a long-time political operative in Ukraine: “The two knew that, were Yanukovych to fall, they would be the biggest losers. That is why they did everything to prevent the radical solution sought by the protesters on the Maidan.” _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
