I am just having some fun. Most free market types like me think voters are “rationally ignorant,” which is probably what Gruber meant. But to me that implies democracy is a terrible way to make decisions, while Gruber liberals thinks it is great – elites can work the system to achieve progressive goals that could not be achieved if the legislation is transparent.
