Our exchange began when you contested my statement that Apple enjoys a 
monopoly. (The statement was made while noting that Apple has a 
distinctive position among Internet corporations, to help explain its 
contradiction with the federal government over encryption.) Well, other 
capitals would certainly like to get Apple's profit margins, but they 
have not.

Apple is able to protect its outsize margins -- monopoly profits. How? I 
originally mentioned that there is a section in my book about it. If you 
prefer to emit the summary phrases above, fine. Finito.
