I agree, but the strategies are different. The Dems want cooperation with other core (imperialist) powers, whereas the GOPs under Dubya's lead want to do it alone. This is the kind of intra-ruling class conflict which undermines conspiracy theory. (awhile back, I heard a speech by Lila Garrett, a California DP honcha (see http://politicalgraveyard.com/bio/garrett.html). She was really into conspiracy theory, for example suggesting that Paul Wellstone had been assasinated. I asked her if it was possible for the DP to take advantage of conflicts such as that between free-market libertarianism and Christian fundamentalism. She had never heard of such a thing...)
