But this is clearly an article about a major change in the Zeitgeist.
After all, the Coast Guard represents Western Civilization (especially
now that it's under the Department of Homeland Security), while Hong
Kong represents Eastern Civilization (especially now that it's under
Beijing's thumb). Who said that East and West can't meet? The Twain
have Met. So, finally, we see the End of History and of the Clash of
Civilizations. It's the Negation of the Negation!

Is this item about the Coast Guard going to China supposed to open up a
serious discussion about capitalism versus socialism? What a waste of our
time. For Christ's sake, I see that I am going to have to filter out
"Ulhas" in the body as well as the header of all incoming messages.
