I think most PEN-L'ers can figure out that the violence was initiated by
the rightwing in Venezuela and then people defended themselves.

Sometimes, yes, other times, no.  Since when have revolutionaries
eschewed violence to initiate it or maintain revolution, on the
defensive or offensive?
