Doyle; I think you are making a pragmatic argument. A lot of pure math has no link to 'something' other than math work. One can say of course that math is brain work and be truthful, but math's power has been to explore how to think without knowing the brain directly. So to sum up, is that what you mean by 2 or 4 is of 'something'? Doyle
