The smear campaign from the "liberals", not just against Ralph Nader but
against anyone marginally leftist such as Kucinich, is already underway.
The reasoning is claimed to be "pragmatic" and "gradualist" but the
rhetoric is vicious and exclusionary.

As opposed to such "liberal" outlets as the "netroots", the few of us
who may consider ourselves left of such "pragmatic liberalism" are
ill-organised and ill-focused. If we are (in terms of principles) the
equivalent, for the left, of the radical wings of the right (choose from
any of religious right, libertarians, etc), then the comparison casts an
even poorer light on us.

Worse, the "netroots"/"liberals" are able to co-opt whatever little
organised activism we are able to throw together or words we are able to
put out.
