I was a Gaucho in the mid-1980s. The Bank of America site was turned into a
bar/nightclub called the "The Graduate," where I spent an inordinate amount of
time, especially when they had their "4 drinks for the price of 1" specials. I
believe the site is now a lecture hall. The evolution of the site from a BofA
burned by students to a nightclub where we "burned down the house" to 80s New
Wave and other dance music was not lost on my fellow apathetic generation of
students.

The article quotes Richard Flacks, from whom I took a graduate seminar on C.
Wright Mills. Pretty good seminar. I think the sociology grad students rather
liked having a conservative undergrad around.
