I ran into that problem 4 months ago. My script was fine (goal : get the
data from HTML form, transfer it into MS-SQL db using DBI:ODBC).

Then, all the sudden, HTTP 405 would come up for no reason - sometimes - I
mean really unpredictable. This postponed my delevery of this web app for
about a month. I then decided to reinstall IIS (I have experience with
Window stuff...), rebooted NT Server 6 times - and ... it worked !!?? Still
don't know what happened.

Scared of it, I now switched to Linux / Apache that IS WAY more stable and
predictable than crappy Win / IIS.

Still, my corporation is scared of switching - it's scary to see a running
and stable system that is configured using text instead of a nice-looking 32
million colors full-of-bugs Window system. All those nice colorful windows
are in fact hiding what is going on under. - damm.

Anyway, good luck !
