The author's intent is entirely irrelevant to whether or not something
is a bug.

What the source code says is even more so. By that token nothing could
ever be a bug as "it does what the source code says it should do".



The current behaviour is not what the documentation says, and therefore
there is a bug.

We can argue about whether or not the bug is in the code or in the
documentation, but there should be no argument that there *is* a bug.
